AP Classes & Exams
TO CLARIFY: Students must be registered for their AP exam through AP Classroom by November 14th. Exam payment will be collected after Winter break. A letter will be mailed home in January indicating your student's total and directions stating how to make your payment.
Iroquois High School offers a number of Advanced Placement courses:

- Art History (not running in the 2025-2026 school year)

- Calculus AB*

- Computer Science Principles**
- Computer Science A**
- English Language & Composition
- English Literature & Composition*
- Environmental Science
- European History
- Macroeconomics
- Physics C: Mechanics
- Physics C: Electricity & Magnetism
- Psychology
- Statistics*
- World History
- US History
* = also available for dual enrollment
** = courses alternate each year
Please refer to the Course Catalog for more specific course information, including prerequisites and requirements. Each school year, Course availability is dependent on student interest and teacher schedules.
Why take AP Classes?
- Gain the edge in college preparation. Get a head start on exactly the sort of work you will confront in college. Improve your writing skills and sharpen your problem-solving techniques. Develop the study habits necessary for tackling rigorous course work.

- Broaden your intellectual horizons. Explore the world from a variety of perspectives, most importantly your own. Study subjects in greater depth and detail. Assume the responsibility of reasoning, analyzing, and understanding for yourself.
**Please note that any student is allowed to challenge an AP exam, even if it is one in which the course is not offered at Iroquois. Students just need to pay the exam fee and prepare independently. A full list of AP exam offerings can be found here.
Important AP Exam Information
Exam fee: $99 per exam ($62 if a student qualifies for free/reduced lunch)
AP Payment is due to the HS bookstore on a date to be determined! Payment can be made by cash or check - made out to Iroquois Central School.
