Beginning 9/15/2025, Senior students will be meeting with their counselors to discuss college, employment, and steps to a successful life post graduation.     

Students will receive a TEAMS message and an email with a date and time of appointment approximately 4-5 days prior to the appointment. Email and Teams reminders will be sent one day prior as a reminder. Appointments will be scheduled during study hall/lunch periods as allowed.

It is important that students make every effort to be available for their Senior appointment. Any questions should be directed to the Student Services Support office at 652-3000 x 7876.

 

SUNY Information 2025-2026

NYS Excelsior Scholarship is now accepting applications until 8/31/2025. The NYS Excelsior Scholarship provides students from families earning $125,000 or less the opportunity to attend a SUNY or CUNY college tuition-free. SUNY Erie (formerly ECC) will host an Instant Admission Event at Iroquois High School on Wednesday, 1/28/2026. During this event, an admission counselor from SUNY Erie will meet with seniors who have applied to the college - or who are considering applying - during which they will be offered admission to SUNY Erie, or have their application reviewed. All members of the Class of 2026 have been sent this information via Teams and email. Questions should be directed to the Student Support Services office at 716-652-3000 x 7876.

College Admission Representative Visits to Iroquois High School are happening throughout September, October and into November. The following schools are visiting Iroquois in September:  SUNY Binghamton, Golisano Institute for Business & Entrepreneurship, SUNY Geneseo, SUNY Potsdam, Daemen University, St. John Fisher, St. Bonaventure University

Seniors have been sent messages via Teams on the exact dates/times of these visits, as well as directives to sign up in the Student Support office to receive a pass to attend these visits. If you have any questions, please call the Student Support office at 716-652-3000 x 7876.

Are you interested in attending one of the nation's service academies? Senator Kristen Gillibrand's office will be hosting the 2025 Service Academy Night on Thursday, October 2nd at Roswell Park Cancer Institute, located at 665 Elm Street in Buffalo. Representatives from the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, Naval Academy in Annapolis, Coast Guard Academy, Merchant Marine Academy, and Air Force Academy will share information about the unique academic & career opportunities they offer as well as the admission process. The Common Application

Over 900 colleges now use the Common Application to save time and be more efficient. This allows students to send one application to all colleges that accept the Common Application. You can check on the college’s website under Admissions to see if they are a part of the Common Application pool. There is usually an application processing fee attached to each application so please be aware of this if you apply to multiple schools. In-Person College Visits

An admission representative from D'Youville University will be visiting Iroquois on Friday, February 6 during lunch periods. This is a great opportunity for junior students to begin their college search. Questions can be directed to the Student Support Services office at 716-652-3000 x 7876.
