Beginning 9/21/2026, Senior students will be meeting with their counselors to discuss college, employment, and steps to a successful life post graduation.     

Students will receive a TEAMS message and an email with a date and time of appointment approximately 4-5 days prior to the appointment. Email and Teams reminders will be sent one day prior as a reminder. Appointments will be scheduled during study hall/lunch periods as allowed.

It is important that students make every effort to be available for their Senior appointment. Any questions should be directed to the Student Services Support office at 652-3000 x 7876.

NYS Excelsior Scholarship will begin accepting applications in May 2026. The NYS Excelsior Scholarship provides students from families earning $125,000 or less the opportunity to attend a SUNY or CUNY college tuition-free. College Prep courses are offered through Iroquois Community Education and All Pro Tutoring. SAT Boot Camp, ACT Boot Camp, and Writing the College Application Essay are all offered through Community Education courses. Information for 2026 classes will be available in the Fall.

College Application Procedure Night

The WNY College Consortium, composed of nineteen (19) local colleges and universities, will be visiting Iroquois on Tuesday, 10/20/2026. This is a great opportunity for students to learn about courses of study, student life, and more at area colleges. Members of the Class of 2027 & 2028 are welcome to attend. Sign up in the Student Support office to receive a pass to participate in this event!

The Common Application

Over 900 colleges now use the Common Application to save time and be more efficient. This allows students to send one application to all colleges that accept the Common Application. You can check on the college’s website under Admissions to see if they are a part of the Common Application pool. There is usually an application processing fee attached to each application so please be aware of this if you apply to multiple schools. College Admission Representatives from local colleges/universities will be visiting with interested senior students throughout the months of September and October. Students are notified of visits and the opportunity to participate in these visits via Teams, morning announcements, TV screen announcements, and flyers throughout the high school. Students are asked to sign up to receive a pass to participate in these visits in the Student Support office by the end of the day prior the appointment.
