Volunteer/Community Services
Community Service Requirements
Service Learning (Community Service) is a graduation requirement for all Iroquois students.
"Service learning is defined as a teaching/learning method that connects meaningful community service with academic learning, personal growth and civic responsibility. It is a means of fostering an academic environment that encourages students to examine moral and ethical issues facing a diverse citizenry in an increasingly independent world. Through service learning, students will obtain the knowledge, skills and values of responsible citizenship."
All students must complete a minimum of 32 hours to meet graduation requirements. It is recommended that students complete a minimum of 8 hours of service per year.
