Overview

Welcome to Mr. Aroune's Economics class. Within this course students will formulate an understanding of major economic concepts and systems, the principles of economic decision making, and the interdependence of economies and economic systems throughout the world. Students will also utilize many new technologies that are designed to help students construct a personal learning network and recognize the value of social networking.
 
 
 
 

Grades

Quarterly Grades: Student's grades will be determined based upon their ability to complete the appropriate work in the appropriate amount of time given. Mr. Aroune's economics class will utilize five grading categories of equal weight to determine the student's final quarterly average.

Category 1: Tests (25%)
Category 2: Quiz  (25 %)
Category 3: Classwork (20%)
Category 4: Homework (30%)


Final Exam: All students will complete a final exit exam, that will cover all of the information discussed in class.  This exit exam will be 20% of their overall Economics average.

Final Average: The student's final average will formulated using the following formula. ( 80 % is based upon quarterly averages + 20% from the final exam) = 100%

Classroom Rules:

  1. Be prepared
  2. Be on-time
  3. Be respectful
Homework is to be handed in on-time. If a student fails to complete the assignment on time, there will be a 10% deduction for everyday the assignment is late. After three days, I will not accept the assignment.
